First kiss at bottom of the two slides at the top playground with Sandy, 1959. Wrecked following a friend cutting across the grass after the castle, slippery, he stopped when on pavement at the bottom, I slid into him, bent front fender, Dad wasn't happy, 1967.

From what I can determine the founder of this website is deceased. A search of The Who is database privately registered to a server in Massachusetts. Does anybody know who the administrator is for the site now. It is obviously being renewed periodically but not maintained. That's a shame because it's a pretty good site and I hate to see it fall off the web. Can anybody answer these questions?

My parents used this drug store occasionally. Thanks for all of your hard work, the listings are amazing.

My grandparents lived and raised a large family on Moose Street in the 1950s into the 1980s. I remember visiting them: the rural area, the outhouse, the family's cornfield and the rough roads. Interesting to read about it now. It was a poor area.

This is crazy. Vicki’s records have all different spellings. I checked with my uncle. It is Vicki. Sorry for the confusion.

Saw this site when looking up a family member (by marriage).
Frank Hees passed away in 1984 from Lou Gehrig/ALS disease. He was married to my mother’s cousin Vickie Hotaling Hees. She passed away in 2021 in St. Joseph, MO.

Thank you for all the work you put in to this project! It has really helped my research in finding more information about my great grandfather.

ME, AGAIN. I had to comment on the VAVRA BAKING CO. My grandfather Ralph A. Alexander drove a panel truck for them for several years. Whenever we were visiting he would bring home a box of their WONDERFUL JELLY DONUTS!! I won't bother eating jelly donuts these days since none of them are as delicious as the VAVRA donuts!!!

How fun is this site!! My father and I reminisced for quite a while over the history recorded here, remembering his times spent during his courtship of my mother and their earliest married years. Thanks for adding insight to the bits and pieces he identified! It was lovely!! ❤️

Both my parents were born and raised in St. Joseph ... Joseph E. Beaupeurt and Helene F. Alexander. We visited our grandparents (Alexander) quite a bit during our childhood and always loved the history and the parks in St. Joseph. My Dad was a commercial artist with Lee Starnes who helped work on the Pony Express Museum later on. I wish St. Joseph would have more souvenirs/statues of the Pony Express available to the public. Thanks for your work on this website. Very Interesting!!
